Interaction Designer

Position Overview:

As Spongecell’s Interaction Designer you will play a lead role in helping to design the user interface of our product. We’re looking for someone who can brainstorm design ideas based on user goals and then turn those ideas into graphical representations to be used by our Engineering team.
Successful candidate must have:
(1) Experience designing flexible online applications which have consumer-facing user interfaces requiring both a strategic focus and daily, hands-on tactical engagement.
(2) The ability to generate creative design solutions. More importantly, interaction designers can screen out bad ideas and identify good ones. In our product development environment, an interaction designer needs to be vocal and passionate about his or her ideas, and be confident providing support for them.
(3) A blend of technology development and graphic design experience – we aren’t requiring this person to be able to write code, but we would like familiarity with cutting edge technologies. Ideally this person will have built GUIs with a focus on Usability and Interaction Design.
(4) An entrepreneurial spirit and get excited about:
